Last November, we organised another wine tasting event where we embarked on an exciting culinary adventure. We brought 6 of the finest Romanian wines together with 6 exceptional Belgian cheeses. Nomad Sauvignon Blanc & Aurélie Goat Cheese
This crisp Sauvignon Blanc offers vibrant aromas of gooseberry, wild grass and fresh lime, creating a mineral-forward profile with a generous, full taste.. When paired with the creamy, tangy Aurélie goat cheese from Lummen, the wine's bright acidity perfectly balances the cheese's rich, earthy character. This wine also pairs beautifully with other fresh and young goat cheeses, as well as mild, creamy cheeses with a slight tang.
Promessa Rosé Organic & Herve Doux
Our organic rosé delights with intense watermelon, strawberry and raspberry flavors, followed by subtle spice hints and a refreshing finish. The soft, creamy texture of Herve Doux cheese creates a harmonious balance with the wine's vibrant fruit character. Pair this versatile rosé with other mild to medium-aged soft cheeses, or creamy cheeses with a subtle herb character.
Red Artisan & Grevenbroecker
The Red Artisan is an elegant red blend that develops coffee and tobacco aromas on the nose, complemented by spices and vanilla notes. The Grevenbroecker cheese, with its mellow blue character, creates an unexpectedly perfect match. The wine's complexity makes it also an excellent companion for other semi-soft cheeses and mild blue cheeses with a creamy texture.
Karakter Cabernet Sauvignon & Vieux Chimay
Our Karakter Cabernet Sauvignon displays expressive black fruit notes with subtle oak hints, velvety tannins, and complex flavors of tobacco, coffee and spices. The Vieux Chimay's long, fruity flavor and caramel notes create a sophisticated pairing. This bold wine stands up beautifully to other aged hard cheeses and those with pronounced flavors and crystalline textures.
Anima Chardonnay & Pas de Rouge
This premium Chardonnay offers intense tropical fruit flavors with elegant oak and vanilla hints, complemented by a creamy, richly textured palate. The Pas de Rouge cheese, with its distinctive red rind and complex flavor profile, enhances the wine's creamy character. The wine pairs wonderfully with other washed-rind cheeses and buttery, rich cheeses with subtle nutty notes.
Anima 3 Fete Negre & Oud Roeselare
Our flagship red blend, Anima 3 Fete Negre, showcases intense dark fruit flavors with notes of chocolate and vanilla, offering a rich, velvety texture with firm tannins. The Oud Roeselare, aged for 12 months and featuring unique cherry notes, creates a memorable finale. This sophisticated wine complements other aged and complex cheeses, particularly those with intense flavors and a firm texture.
