Harvested in late September/early October, followed by alcoholic fermentation in closed stainless steel tanks with soft cap irrigator. The whole batch was aged in Romanian oak barrels, where the wine completed malolactic fermentation.
The wine is delicate and surprising, with an intense bouquet of ripe black fruit. A hint of dark chocolate, and vanilla from the oak barrels. The taste is rich, with plums, marmalade, coffee and tobacco. Long velvet finish.
Serve with veal, lamb, game, but also with hard cheeses.
This wine is best served at a temperature of 16-18°C.
