About
Vinification Details
Harvested by beginning of October, followed by alcoholic fermentation in closed stainless steel tanks with gentle cap irrigator for 21 days. The whole lot was aged into 225 L Romanian and French oak barrels, where the wine finished malolactic fermentation. After 17 months the wine has been bottle with minimal filtration and bottle aged months before being released on the market.
Tasting Notes
Sweet nose of black ripe fruits, dark chocolate and vanilla. The taste is rich, soft, velvety, with hints of dry plums, coffee, chocolate and tobacco. The tannins are sweet but firm which will give longevity to this wine.
Food pairing suggestions
Pair with rich, umami-packed dishes. A perfectly charred Gruyère burger, a mushroom pizza topped with a tangy tomato sauce, or a marinated ribeye steak. Or, opt for hearty choices, like braised short ribs or mushroom stroganoff. The deep umami flavors complement the wine's savoury profile, allowing its lush berry essence to take center stage.
Serving temperature
This wine is best served at a temperature of 16-18°C.
